never place fingers below base plate of
tool - grip tool firmly by the handles
observe all safety precautions as outlined in your power tool manual
 
 

Disconnect router from electrical supply. Install bit in router. Remove router sub base and secure router to aluminum tool body using pan head screws provided, aligning router handles as illustrated. Router handles must be on long axis of base. (note: be certain to use the appropriate screws for your router)  Thread handle into trim base.
 
 

Place unit on flat surface, maintaining downward force at trim base handle, and adjust bit to just touch .004 inch shim provided.
Never place fingers below base plate of tool; always grip tool firmly by the handles.
Run a test piece and finalize depth setting.
 
 

Maintain downward force on trim base handle to prevent unit tipping and gouging the work piece. Start cutting at the juncture of the edging and laminate/plywood moving along the length of the work.
Trim edge ends and apply adjoining edge.
 

Route flush, sand and profile.

shop tip

Use the base with your router to flush trim applied hardwood edges on veneered or laminated surfaces. Make a few practice runs to familiarize yourself with the tool. Always test  setup  before moving on to your project.
